News and updates on what some of the McCormick class of 2007 has been doing
Matt Black works with the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship as their Web developer, managing their web site and emailing lists. He recently redesigned the entire website and tries to keep up with the many activities of an organization that is growing dramatically in numbers, programs, and energy. See his work at www.presbypeacefellowship.org. Naury Sanchez-Cintron was hired in August to teach theology at Mizpah Bible College in San Juan, Puerto Rico in August. She is also teaching the discipleship class at the Pentecostal Church of God in Trujillo Alto. Julie (Gruber) Delezenne was ordained on July 5th at Lakeview Presbyterian Church; she is serving as the Coordinator for Congregational and Community Relations at the Night Ministry in Chicago. Laura (Crim) Fry has accepted a call to serve as pastor at Covington Presbyterian Church in Pavillion, New York. Joe Genau and his wife, Amber, are living in Cologne, Germany, for the 2008-09 academic year as Amber takes advantage of a post-doctoral fellowship. Joe has been in contact with the pastor of the American Protestant Church in Bonn and will be working with the church as a volunteer, focusing on a variety of Christian Education projects. Tahir Golden left Chicago for Massachusetts to begin his first year of law school at Harvard. He had been working as a recruitment associate in the Office of Recruitment and Admissions at McCormick since the summer of 2007. Jennifer Soule-Hill was ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in March of 2008 at Allen Park Presbyterian Church (Presbytery of Detroit ). She is serving as the Interim Director of the Chicago Metropolitan Sanctuary Alliance. She and Nate Soule-Hill were married in Chicago in July of this year. Hardy Kim was ordained on Sunday, June 15, at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, where he has been serving as a Lilly Foundation Pastoral Resident for the past two years. His residency has been extended through October as he interviews for church positions. Patricia Locke has been doing contract work as a freelance writer for the Office of Seminary Relations and Development and the Office of Student Affairs at McCormick. Sarah MacDonald has been serving full-time with Christian Peacemaker Teams, working primarily in Palestine and Colombia. Irene Pak has received a call to serve as associate pastor for English Ministries and Christian Education at Daesung Presbyterian Church, a Korean American congregation, in Sunnyvale, California. She began her ministry on September 1. Beatrice Radakovich is serving as Associate Pastor at The Storehouse Evangelical Covenant Church in Chicago. Katie Snipes has been called to serve in the Office of the Chaplain at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, as a Lilly Religious Life Intern. She began her work on August 1 and was ordained at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis on September 28. |
