McCormick is delighted to share with you the news that the Board of Trustees has approved a new position of Vice President for Community Engagement and Alumni Relations. I am even more delighted to announce that the Board also approved the appointment of Rev. Nannette Banks to fill this new, important role. In this position, Nannette will serve as a member of the administrative cabinet and will report to the President. Nannette will officially assume her new duties on July 1, 2019.
McCormick's mission extends well beyond our walls. Over the last two years, we have continued to explore and develop closer relationships with our church partners, community and faith-based organizations, as well as with other seminaries, government leaders, and activists. As part of Nannette’s new responsibilities, she will assist me and others in “connecting” our McCormick communities, including our alums, to the communities we and our students serve.
Please join McCormick in extending our congratulations and our prayers to Nannette as she assumes these new duties. We will have an opportunity to discuss more details in the weeks ahead.
