Yardney, Sarah

Sarah Yardney (Ph.D., University of Chicago) studies the creation and transmission of the Hebrew Bible, including its reception history in the literature of early Judaism. Her current research investigates the practices of biblical translators and scribes in the ancient Mediterranean. In addition to teaching Bible at McCormick, she is engaged in a digital humanities project at the University of Chicago that is encoding biblical manuscripts for textual research.
