Kent Covenant Church is part of a larger body of believers known as the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC).  The ECC was founded by Scandinavian immigrants to the U. S. in the late 19th century who had been impacted by powerful Christian revival movements in their home countries.  We are an evangelical church, emphasizing the necessity of spiritual new birth in Christ; we are a Reformation church emphasizing the authority of the Scriptures in the church's life and mission; and we are part of the universal church, emphasizing our unity in Christ with other Christians around the world.

We seek an associate pastor to serve the church by shepherding the congregation into a community of authentic and expressive worshippers that is fueled by their personal lifestyle of worship and discipleship in Jesus Christ. The APWA will be a highly collaborative servant, who is able to inspire lay leaders, work alongside staff, and eagerly engages the entire life of KCC. The ideal candidate will have a heart for our increasingly diverse community, ad take an active role as we desire to be changed by Jesus to change the world.

The Associate Pastor of Worship & Arts interacts with church staff, committees, members, and the larger community to effectively manage the daily operations of the Worship & Arts ministry at KCC. The APWA will also supervise and participate in events associated with the Worship & Arts ministry through building-use when called upon from outside organizations and internal usage.
