In a community and in a church whose demographics and needs are changing, we feel called to constantly seek guidance through God and the congregation to better identify the needs of our constituency and to institute programs that address current and emerging missions and ministry.
To realize this calling in the reflection of the teachings of Christ, we support several provisions:
We provide financial and personal provision in support of ministries that include First Presbyterian’s Soup kitchen, MIFA, Habitat for Humanity®, Living Waters, and Heifer International®.
We provide meeting space and institutional support for an onsite profile and accredited preschool with a qualified teaching and support staff.
We provide fellowship to nurture to our church community through potluck dinners, Wednesday-night dinners, fellowship gatherings after worship service, music ministries, and senior support ministries.
We are seeking a pastor who, through leadership and imagination, will work with and guide our congregation to a better understanding of how to fulfill our calling in our community. S/he will help us to continue to grow in Christ in our ministry and mission, and to form and reform as together we better define our goals and develop a clear vision for our future.
We are looking forward to working with a pastor, who with creativity, brings new and imaginative ideas for our church’s ministry and mission, while also being sensitive the traditions which have helped define the church though the years.
We seek a pastor who through self-awareness, honesty and an understanding and recognition of both strengths and limitations will guide our congregation forward.
