Meg was originally born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, where she started her theological education. She came to Richmond, VA, for an MA in Christian Education and a ThM in Theology, then she went to Evanston for her PhD in Pastoral Theology, Personality, and Culture. Her dissertation, titled Redemption Redefined: Stories of Korean American Women from Migration to Pilgrimage, is an ethnographic research on these Christian women's life narratives, focusing on the role of faith in resourcing their psychological and spiritual resilience. She had served immigrant church communities while extending her ministerial visions through church planting ministry throughout the Chicago urban area. Meg has a strong heart for a young generation within and beyond church, committed to serve, advocate, and transform their lives. While she adores wild activities with children and youth, Meg finds herself rejuvenated through quiet time at home, reading and writing, and spending quality time with her husband, Thad, and their feline companions named Caramel and Consuela.
