McCormick Theological Seminary’s cross cultural, urban, Reformed, and ecumenical values uniquely position McCormick to be the leading seminary for Latinx theological education. The Center for the Study of Latinx Theology and Ministry is committed to providing academic programs aimed at strengthening the formation and renewal of Latinx theological education, church leaders, and congregations.
The Certificate Program offers contextual courses that are grounded in student’s on-going ministry work and promote theological depth and practical application. Courses are taught in a bi-lingual context.
The program will cover the following subjects:
· Practical Theology
· Vocation of a practical theologian
· Models to do practical theology
· Bibliographical research
· Bible
· Ministry (Christian Education, Pastoral Care, Preaching)
· Theology
Class Commitment and Schedule
· 4 weekends (Friday 6pm—9pm and Saturday 9am—4pm) for a total of 36 hours per course

El centro para el estudio de la teología Latinx y el Ministerio se compromete a facilitar programas académicos dirigidos a fortalecer la formación y renovación de la educación teológica Latinx, los líderes de la iglesia y las congregaciones.
El programa de certificado ofrece cursos contextuales que se fundamentan en el trabajo del que promueven la profundidad teológica y la aplicación práctica. Los cursos se enseñan en un contexto bilingüe.
