The Center for African American Ministries and Black Church Studies

The Center for African American Ministries and Black Church Studies sponsors course offerings, special lectures, and public events that support the curricular and co- curricular interests of seminarians preparing for and/or engaged in ministry within the Black church context.  Beyond the seminary the Center partners with clergy, lay leaders, and community agencies to sponsor faith-based educational programs related to HIV/AIDS and public health disparities among African Americans, annual multicultural celebration for graduating students, and an annual Clergy/Lay Leadership Prayer Breakfast, and houses the Black Church Studies Certificate.
