Board of Trustees

As part of McCormick Theological Seminary’s shared governance, in addition to the Trustees recommended by the Board’s Nominations and Trusteeship Committee and elected each May, McCormick’s Board of Trustees includes voting representatives from the faculty, student body and our alumni council. The descriptions below define the roles of these representatives who are elected between the May and October meetings of the Trustees.

  • Two faculty representatives are elected to serve staggered two-year terms with new representatives elected at the Fall Faculty Conference, both representatives have voice and vote.

  • Two student representatives are elected each fall. One with voice and vote and the co-moderator of the Masters Student Council as ex-officio (voice only).

  • Two alumni representatives serve on the Board. One with voice and vote which serves a three-year term before being re-elected; and the current president of the alumni council as ex-officio (voice only).
