You’ve led faithfully. Now lead transformatively. McCormick’s Doctor of Ministry strengthens your theological depth and expands your toolbox — public theology, community partnership, and program design — so your ministry can meet this moment with skill and staying power.
Accepting students to begin in January and September
Deadline for priority admissions is July 31
Registration deadline: August 22
ADDITIONAL PATHWAY: Interschool DMin Program
In addition to McCormick’s own DMin program, we also participate in a separate Interschool Doctor of Ministry Program coordinated by Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in partnership with McCormick and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC).
This program serves students who wish to pursue full-time studies and often best meets the needs of international students planning to enter the U.S. under a Student Visa. Prerequisites for the program include an MDiv degree or its equivalent and five years ministerial experience in the area of concentration. The program consists of one year of full-time study plus a thesis. Concentrations include: Cross-Cultural Ministries, Liturgy, Spirituality, Education for Witness, and Hispanic Theology and Ministry.
How is this different from the McCormick DMin?
McCormick’s DMin is a flexible, part-time program designed for leaders who remain in their current ministry contexts.
The Interschool DMin is a full-time, residential consortium program coordinated by CTU with a more extensive thesis and a compressed one-year coursework schedule.
Students interested in the Interschool DMin may apply through McCormick, CTU, or LSTC; most coursework is completed at CTU.
