Rev. Barbara Wilson

Rev. Barbara Ann Wilson, DMin is Director of Collaboration & Community Partnerships for the Presbytery of Chicago (PCUSA), where she builds sustainable partnerships across 90 congregations and community stakeholders to strengthen vitality and mission. An ordained Itinerant Elder in the AME Church with 25+ years of ministry—including staff minister, senior pastor, and denominational leadership—she is a catalyst for healthy relationships, leader development, and community engagement. Rev. Wilson’s first career was in the federal criminal justice and child welfare systems. She holds a BA and MS in Criminal Justice/Justice Administration and earned her MDiv and DMin from McCormick Theological Seminary. Committed to lifelong learning, she is trained in conflict mediation, ACEs, trauma-informed ministry, facilitation, nonprofit leadership, and transitional ministry, and serves as an adjunct professor (Mission, Ministry, Leadership) in the DMin programs at McCormick and Bexley Seabury. A Memphis native, she calls Chicago home.
