The air is buzzing with excitement at McCormick Seminary as we prepare to celebrate the incredible achievements of our graduating Class of 2025! We've put together a schedule of events filled with fellowship, worship, and joyful recognition as we send these remarkable individuals out to lead and serve. Mark your calendars and join us in celebrating their journey!
A Taste of Global Community:
Our commencement week kicks off with a vibrant Cross-Cultural Celebration* on Monday, May 5th at 5:00 pm. Hosted by our Ministry Centers, this special event offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich tapestry of cultures that make up the McCormick community. Come and enjoy a special time of fellowship with our diverse students. You'll find us on the 2nd Floor in Rooms 210-BC right here at McCormick Theological Seminary.

A Time for Reflection and Celebration:
As the week progresses, we turn our hearts towards worship and gratitude. We invite you to join us on Friday, May 9th, for our Graduation Worship Reception at 5:30 pm, followed by the Graduation Worship Service at 6:30 pm. These special moments will take place at the McCormick campus, with the reception in the Atrium and the service in the LSTC Chapel. This will be a meaningful time to lift up our graduates in prayer and celebrate their accomplishments through song and scripture.
Preparing for the Big Day:
Graduates, please take note! Saturday, May 10th will be a busy day of preparation and celebration. We'll begin with Commencement Rehearsal and Class Photos at 9:15 am at Hyde Park Union Church, located at 5600 S. Woodlawn Avenue. This is a crucial time to ensure a smooth and memorable Commencement ceremony.
Following the rehearsal, we'll head back to McCormick for a special Brunch Reception Honoring Graduates* at 11:30 am. All are welcome to join us on the 2nd Floor in Rooms 210-BC as we celebrate our graduates and their hard work with a delicious meal and warm fellowship.
The Grand Finale — Commencement Service:
The culmination of our week-long celebration will be the Commencement Service* at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 10th. We'll gather once again at Hyde Park Union Church as we officially confer degrees and send forth the Class of 2025 to make their mark on the world. Graduates will need to robe for Commencement at Hyde Park Union Church starting at 1:30 pm. Please note the service will be livestreamed on the McCormick Facebook page.
