Dean Valerie Bridgeman

Rev. Valerie Bridgeman, Ph.D., is Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Homiletics and Hebrew Bible at Methodist Theological School in Ohio. An Elder in full connection in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, she is also the founding president and CEO of WomanPreach! Inc. A noted voice in preaching and biblical studies, she contributes regularly to WorkingPreacher.org and the Journal for Preachers and was inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. Collegium of Scholars and Preachers at Morehouse College in 2010. Dr. Bridgeman earned her Ph.D. in biblical studies (Hebrew Bible) from Baylor University and her M.Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
