Dr. Kirk Byron Jones
Kirk Byron Jones, PhD, DMin, is a New Orleans–born pastor, author, and speaker who began preaching at 12 and has served congregations for over three decades. A graduate of Loyola University and Andover Newton Theological School, he holds a Doctor of Ministry from Emory University and a PhD from Drew University. Dr. Jones was the founding minister of Beacon Light Baptist Church in New Orleans and later served as Senior Minister at churches in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, including Calvary Baptist (Chester), Ebenezer Baptist (Boston), the First Baptist Churches of Randolph and Tewksbury, and Zion Baptist (Lynn). He has contributed to religious and civic committees nationally and authored numerous books guiding clergy and spiritual seekers. Through his writing and teaching, he champions a life of Spirit-led joy, creativity, and “soaring.” He and his wife, Mary Brown-Jones, live in Randolph, MA, and have four adult children and three grandchildren.
